The short answer first.
Is Meta Typing Club really free?
Yes. Every learner gets all lessons, keyboards, badges and certificates for free. Paid plans only add extras like removing ads and more school seats.
What counts as a seat?
A seat is one active student in your school. Teachers, staff and admins never use a seat. Over the cap, only new student activations are blocked — nothing is deleted.
Why is yearly so much cheaper?
Yearly billing costs about two months of the monthly price, so you save more than 80% compared with paying monthly all year.
Can we cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel any time in a couple of clicks: open Settings › Plan (for a school, the plan card in the school's Settings) and choose Cancel plan. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then returns to Free.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Yes. Card payments are handled securely by PayPal, and schools and districts can also request a quote and pay by invoice or purchase order with net-30 terms. Tax-exempt schools can add their certificate.
Which plans show ads?
Plus and Pro plans have no ads for the account holder. A parent's or teacher's Pro plan also removes ads for the children or students it covers, and a school's paid plan removes them for its learners. Ads keep Meta Typing Club free — they are child-safe and non-personalised, shown on dashboards, the lesson list and the results screen, and on wide desktop screens in the side columns beside a lesson, but never next to the keyboard or the text you type.
