How do I import students from a CSV file?

Open the school dashboard, go to the student import wizard, and upload a CSV of your roster. The wizard maps your column headers, shows a preview of exactly what will be created, flags duplicates and conflicts before anything is saved, and then creates the accounts in one go with printable login cards.

Preparing the file

A plain CSV exported from your school system works. Common OneRoster-style headers are recognised automatically, and any header we do not recognise you can map by hand in the wizard.

The dry run

Before anything is written, the wizard shows you a preview: which students would be created, which already exist, and which rows have a problem. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

Login cards

Students created this way do not need an email address. After the import you can open a print view with one login card per student to hand out in class.
