1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Meta Typing Club ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

If you are under 13 years of age, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing your child to use the Service, you agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Description of Service

Meta Typing Club is a multilingual typing practice platform designed for students, teachers, parents, and individual learners. The Service provides:

• Typing lessons in multiple languages (English, Russian, Persian, Pashto, Dari)
• Progress tracking and performance analytics
• Role-based dashboards for students, teachers, parents, and administrators
• Classroom management tools for teachers
• Parental monitoring capabilities

3. User Accounts

Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

Account Types

• Student: For learners practicing typing skills
• Teacher: For educators managing classes and tracking student progress
• Parent: For guardians monitoring their children's progress
• Administrator: For school or organization administrators

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape, copy, or collect data from the Service without permission
• Use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Cheat or manipulate typing statistics or progress data

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Meta Typing Club and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you create while using the Service (such as custom typing exercises). By creating content on the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service.

6. Educational Use

Meta Typing Club is intended for educational purposes. Teachers and educational institutions may use the Service for classroom instruction, provided they comply with these Terms and all applicable laws regarding student data privacy.

When a school uses Meta Typing Club, we act on the school's behalf as a 'school official' under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We use student records only to provide the service to the school and never share them for other purposes.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Every typing lesson on Meta Typing Club is free, for everyone. Students, parents, teachers and schools may choose an optional paid plan (Plus or Pro) that adds extra features and, for schools, additional seats. The following terms apply only to paid plans.

New paid plans begin with a free trial: 7 days of Pro for students, parents and teachers, and a 1-month free Pro trial for schools. No payment card is required to start a trial. If a trial ends without a subscription, the account returns to the Free plan automatically and no data is lost.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis in US dollars (USD) through our payment processor, PayPal. By starting a paid plan you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the plan you select, including at each renewal, until you cancel.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan. Eligible schools and districts may instead pay by invoice or purchase order on net-30 terms; access to paid features begins once the invoice is marked paid.

You may cancel a paid plan at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and your account returns to the Free plan with no loss of data. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.

Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Tax-exempt schools may submit a valid exemption certificate for review; approved accounts are billed without tax.

We may change plan prices or features. A change to the price of an existing paid plan takes effect at your next renewal, and we will give you notice and the opportunity to cancel before the change applies.

Paid plans are not available everywhere. You may not purchase or use a paid plan if you are located in, or a resident of, a country or region where our payment provider cannot process payments or that is subject to comprehensive trade sanctions or embargoes. Where a paid plan cannot be offered, Meta Typing Club remains completely free to use, with every lesson available to everyone.

Advertising

The Service is funded in part by advertising. A paid plan (Plus or Pro) removes advertising for the account that holds it. A parent's or teacher's Pro plan, and a school's paid plan, also remove advertising for the learners they cover. Advertisements are non-personalised and are never targeted to children. On the typing screen they never sit next to the keyboard or the text you type: on wide desktop screens they may appear only in the side columns beside the lesson.

We do not permit behavioural or targeted advertising to children. A student in a school or family, and a child who registers on their own account, are shown only our own house promotions, with no third-party advertising. Advertising shown to a signed-out visitor on the lesson pages is non-personalised and handled under child-directed treatment. A school that has agreed to an ads-off arrangement shows its students no advertising at all, and no advertisement is ever placed next to the keyboard or the text a learner types.

If an ad blocker is detected, we may show a polite, dismissible notice asking you to allow ads or choose a paid plan. The notice never appears on the typing screen, and using an ad blocker never prevents you from learning.

Eligibility

Paid plans are available only where our payment processor can lawfully process payments. Purchases are screened against applicable sanctions and export-control laws, and we may decline or be unable to offer a paid plan in sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions. These restrictions apply only to payments; free use of the Service remains available to learners everywhere, subject to these Terms.

8. Analytics and Tracking

With your explicit consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Service is used and to improve the user experience. This usage data is linked to an internal account number and is not anonymized. We do not use any third-party analytics for signed-in students or on school pages. These tools never capture passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information.

Analytics tracking is entirely optional and only activates after you grant consent through our cookie banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie Settings in the website footer.

These third-party tools operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them for details on how they process data.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings (Settings > Account > Delete my account), or by emailing MetaTypingClub@gmail.com from the email address on the account. If you own a school, you must first transfer it to another administrator or delete the school, so its students and their data are not left without an owner. For a student account, the parent, teacher or school that manages it deletes it on their behalf. We delete the account and its data within 30 days. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

While we strive to provide high-quality educational content, we make no guarantees regarding learning outcomes or typing proficiency improvements.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, META TYPING CLUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
