For Students

What does Real Accuracy mean, and why is mine low?

Real Accuracy measures how often you hit the correct key on the first try, before any corrections. Accuracy measures the final text after fixes. You can reach 100% Accuracy by fixing every mistake, but Real Accuracy stays honest because it only counts first-try keystrokes, so it reflects true typing skill.

How is my typing progress saved and tracked?

Your progress is saved automatically as you complete lessons. With an account, your stars, completed lessons, speed, and accuracy sync across devices. Without an account, progress is kept in your browser only, so it can be lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices.

How are stars and ratings calculated after a typing lesson?

After each lesson you earn 1 to 5 stars based on three things: accuracy, words per minute, and Real Accuracy. Higher performance earns more stars. Five stars need 85%+ accuracy, 20+ WPM, and 50%+ Real Accuracy. Stars mark which lessons you have mastered.

My typing progress did not save — how do I get it back?

If you practiced without signing in, your progress is stored only on that device and browser, so clearing your browser data or switching devices can lose it.
