What roles does a school account have?

A school has five roles: School Owner, School Admin, Staff, Teacher and Student. The Owner controls everything, including deletion and transfer; School Admins manage people, classes and settings; Staff get read-only oversight; Teachers run their own classes; Students practise and complete assignments.

School Owner

One person per school. They can change every setting, invite and remove anyone, switch the plan, delete the school, and transfer ownership to someone else. For a public or government school this person is the Account Manager.

School Admin

Manages members, classes, assignments and school settings, including the feature toggles. Cannot delete the school or transfer ownership.

Staff

Oversight without editing, which suits a head teacher or coordinator who needs the reports but should not change rosters.

Teacher

Runs the classes they are assigned to: assignments, progress and their own roster.

Student

Practises, completes assignments, and sees their own progress only.
