Using the On-Screen Keyboard & Hand Guide

Transcript

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to use the on-screen keyboard and the hand guide, so you can learn to type without looking down.

Inside any lesson, the on-screen keyboard sits right below your text.

The next key you need lights up, so you always know exactly where to go.

Below it, the hand guide shows which finger to use for that key.

And the finger hint at the top spells it out in plain words.

Now keep your eyes on the keyboard, and watch what happens as you type.

As you type along, the right keys light up and turn green. Follow them, and your fingers learn the way.

Use these guides until you can type without looking. That is touch typing.

Keep practicing. Find more guides in our FAQ, Help Center, and Learning Center. English typing, at Meta Typing Club dot com.
