How to Read School Reports and Adjust Your Settings
Transcript
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to read your school's reports and how to adjust the school settings on Meta Typing Club, step by step. Let's begin.
From your school dashboard, open the Reports tab.
The top row sums up the whole school: how many students were active this week and this month, their average speed and accuracy, the lessons finished this month, and how much of the assigned work is done. A brand new school shows zeros and dashes; the numbers fill in as soon as students start practising.
Below, By class breaks the same numbers down per class, so you can see which classes are active and which need a push.
Click any column heading to sort the table by it.
Download as CSV gives you the table as a file for a spreadsheet, a report to the board, or your own records. Every number updates by itself; the time of the last update is shown under the table.
Now open the Settings tab.
School details holds what you entered when you created the school: the name, the kind of school, who runs it, the country, the city and the time zone. Change anything here.
Typing languages are the languages your school teaches. Tick every one you use; students, classes and lessons can then use any of them.
Click Save to keep the changes to the details.
Options are switches, and each one saves itself the moment you flip it. Let teachers create their own classes is on by default; turn it off if only the office should create classes.
Let students join with a school code lets students with their own account join your school by typing a code, instead of you creating every account. We switch it on. Changes saved.
Who agrees for students decides who gives permission for student accounts: the school, or each parent. It also controls how much of a student's details are shown.
What this school uses lets you switch off whole features: Assignments, Reports, Certificates or Rewards. Anything you switch off disappears for your teachers and students, so the app stays simple.
School look changes the colours and the feel of the app for everyone in your school. Try Academy for an older, calmer look.
Playful is the friendly default for younger students. We keep it.
Let students pick their own look allows each student to choose a different look for themselves.
Agreement on file is your record of the school agreement you accepted when you created the school: the version, the date, and who accepted it. Read this version opens it, and Download gives you the PDF for your files.
That is how you read reports and adjust your settings. In the next guide, you will see what the free trial includes and how to manage your plan. Find more guides in our FAQ, Help Center, and Learning Center. English typing, at Meta Typing Club dot com.
