Accounts & Roles
Create an account, reset your password, change your email, and switch roles.
How do I create an account?
Click Get Started or Sign Up, enter your email and a password, then submit. Meta Typing Club sends a verification email to confirm your address. Once verified, you land on your dashboard where progress, stars, and streaks save automatically. Creating an account is free.
Meta Typing Club has four roles: Student, Teacher, Parent, and Admin. Students practice and track progress, Teachers create classes and assignments, Parents connect and follow their children, and Admins manage the platform. One account can hold more than one role, so you can be both a teacher and a parent.
On the login page, click Forgot Password, enter the email tied to your account, and submit. Meta Typing Club emails you a secure reset link. Open it, choose a new password, and confirm. You can then log in with the new password right away.
After you sign up, Meta Typing Club sends a verification email with a confirmation link. Click it to activate your account. Verification confirms the address is yours so you can recover your password later. If the email is missing, check your spam folder and confirm you entered the correct address.
Open Settings and go to the Account tab, edit your email, and save. Meta Typing Club sends a verification message to the new address. Click the link in that email to confirm the change. Until you verify, your old email stays active on the account.
If your account has more than one role, switch from your dashboard using the role switcher. Pick the role you want, such as Teacher or Parent, and the dashboard reloads with that role's tools. Your single login holds every role, so you never need a second account.
Open Settings to edit your profile. There you can update your name, avatar, and preferences such as interface language and theme. Changes save to your account and follow you across devices. To change the email on your account, use the Account tab instead.
Use the language and theme controls in the top menu. The theme toggle switches between light and dark mode, and the language menu changes the website's interface language. Your choices save to your account, so they stay the same the next time you log in.
Open your account menu and click Log Out to end your session, especially on a shared or public computer. To keep your account secure, use a strong, unique password and reset it if you suspect anyone else has it. Meta Typing Club never sells your data.
You can request account deletion to permanently remove your account and the data tied to it. Deletion is permanent, so your progress, stars, and streaks cannot be recovered afterward. If you only want a break, logging out is enough. Meta Typing Club does not sell your data either way.
