Guides and answers for students, teachers, parents, and schools
For Teachers
Create classes, assign lessons, monitor progress, and manage your roster.
How do I create a class and invite students?
From your teacher dashboard, open the Classes tab and click Create Class. Give the class a name, then save it. You will get an invite code to share with your students, or you can create student accounts directly. Each student who joins appears on your roster right away.
How do I create and assign an assignment as a teacher?
From your teacher dashboard, open the Assignments tab and click Create Assignment. Give it a title, pick the language and lesson category, set a due date, choose the students or class, and click Create. The assignment appears in your list and on each student's dashboard immediately.
How do I monitor my students' progress as a teacher?
Open the Students tab in your teacher dashboard to see every student's progress in one view. For each student you can check completed lessons, WPM, accuracy, Real Accuracy, stars, and assignment status. Click a student to open a detailed activity history with their recent lessons.
How do I create student accounts for kids who have no email?
Teachers can create student accounts that log in with a username instead of an email. From your dashboard, add a student, enter their name, and the system generates login credentials you share with the child. This is ideal for young learners and classrooms where students do not have their own email.
How do I see which students finished an assignment?
Each assignment shows a status so you know who is done. Open the Assignments tab in your teacher dashboard to see, per assignment, how many students completed it, who is still in progress, and which ones are overdue against the due date you set. Click an assignment to see the per-student breakdown.
Can I edit or delete an assignment after I create it?
Yes. From the Assignments tab in your teacher dashboard, open the assignment you want to change. You can edit its title, lesson category, due date, and assigned students, then save. To remove it, choose Delete. Deleting an assignment removes it from your students' dashboards.
How do I manage my class roster and remove a student?
Open the Classes or Students tab in your teacher dashboard to manage your roster. You can see every student in a class, move students between classes, and remove a student who no longer belongs. Removing a student takes them off your roster but does not delete their own account or progress.
Can I use Meta Typing Club for a whole school as a teacher?
Yes. As a teacher you can run multiple classes side by side, one per grade, section, or language, and manage them all from a single dashboard. Each class has its own roster, assignments, and progress view. School and organization use is paid, so contact us to discuss pricing for your school.
Your teacher dashboard shows class-level statistics so you can gauge the whole group at a glance. You can see averages and totals for completed lessons, WPM, accuracy, and Real Accuracy, plus how many students are active. These roll up the individual figures from your Students tab.
