Technical & Troubleshooting
Browsers and devices, audio and keyboard fixes, saving progress, and offline use.
Which browsers does Meta Typing Club work on?
Meta Typing Club works on any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. There is nothing to install, just open the site and start typing. For the smoothest practice, keep your browser updated to the latest version, since older versions can miss key features or run slowly.
Yes, the site is fully mobile-responsive and you can browse lessons, dashboards, and progress on a phone or tablet. But touch typing is built for a physical keyboard, so we recommend a laptop, desktop, or a tablet paired with a Bluetooth or USB keyboard for actual practice.
Why is there no sound when I type, and how do I fix it?
Typing sounds are controlled by a sound toggle in the top bar. If you hear nothing, first make sure the toggle is switched on, then check that your device volume is up and your browser tab is not muted. Some browsers also block audio until you click once on the page.
The on-screen keyboard is not highlighting the next key, what do I do?
The on-screen keyboard highlights the next key to press during a lesson. If it is not lighting up, first reload the lesson page, then confirm the typing area is focused by clicking on it. Most cases are fixed by a reload or by updating to a current browser version.
My progress disappeared or did not save, how do I recover it?
If you practiced without signing in, your progress is stored only on that device and browser, so clearing your browser data or switching devices can lose it. Create an account or sign in before you practice so your stars, streaks, and lesson history are saved to your profile and follow you everywhere.
Typing feels slow or laggy, how do I make it smoother?
Laggy typing is almost always caused by an overloaded device or browser, not the lessons. Close extra tabs and heavy apps, update your browser to the latest version, and reload the lesson. If you are on a phone, switch to a laptop or desktop with a physical keyboard for a responsive feel.
A page looks broken in Persian, Pashto, or Dari, how do I report it?
Meta Typing Club fully supports right-to-left layouts for Persian, Pashto, and Dari. If text, icons, or numbers look misaligned, first reload and update your browser. If it still looks wrong, report it through the contact page with the page address and a screenshot so the team can fix it.
Does Meta Typing Club work without an internet connection?
Not yet. Meta Typing Club currently needs an internet connection to load lessons, save progress, and sync your account. There is nothing to install, you just open the site in your browser. We are exploring offline practice for a future update, but for now a stable connection is required.
Use the contact page to report a bug or suggest a feature. Describe what happened, the page address, your language, your browser, and the device you used, and add a screenshot if you can. Clear details let the team reproduce the issue quickly and reply, usually within a couple of days.
