1-month free Pro trial, then free forever

Is Meta Typing Club free for schools?

Yes. Every school starts on a 1-month free Pro trial with no limits and no payment details. When the trial ends the school moves to the Free plan automatically and keeps working for good: 3 teachers, 3 classes, 3 active assignments, and 9 students per class. Nothing is deleted when you cross a limit — extra teachers or classes are simply paused until you choose which ones stay active.

Built for any kind of school

One account type, four ownership models. You tell us which one you are during setup.

Private schools

Independent and fee-paying schools, language schools and academies.

Public and government schools

State schools name one Account Manager who confirms they are an authorised representative.

Non-profits and NGOs

Community programmes, refugee and after-school projects teaching digital skills.

Homeschool families and co-ops

Families teaching at home and small co-ops that want classes and assignments.

What a school account gives you

Roles that match a real school

School Owner, School Admin, Staff, Teacher and Student — each sees only what their job needs.

One place for every person

Invite teachers by email, create student accounts for children with no email, and move a student between classes without losing their progress.

Import your roster from a CSV

Upload a student list, preview exactly what will be created, fix conflicts, then create every account in one go and print login cards.

Suspend by calendar, not by deletion

Set a start and end date for a leave of absence. The account reactivates itself on the end date, and nothing is ever deleted by default.

Reports across the whole school

Accuracy, speed and practice time per class and per student, plus a CSV export for your own records.

Multiple international languages, right-to-left included

English, Russian, Persian, Pashto and Dari, with proper right-to-left layout for Persian, Pashto and Dari.

Two plans, both at no cost. There is no paid tier to upgrade to today.

How many teachers can a school have on the free plan?

On the Free plan a school can have 3 teachers, 3 classes, 3 active assignments, and 9 students per class. During the 1-month free Pro trial none of these limits apply. Going over a limit never deletes anything: the extras are paused until you choose which ones stay active.

What happens when the school trial ends?

Nothing is lost. After the 1-month free Pro trial your school moves automatically to the Free plan and keeps its account, members, classes, assignments and all progress history. The Free plan limits then apply — and if your school needs more, you can upgrade to a paid School Plus or School Pro plan at any time.

What is a school account on Meta Typing Club?

A school account is a shared workspace that holds your teachers, students, classes and assignments under one school name, with its own roles, settings and reports. It starts with a 1-month free Pro trial and then stays on a Free plan forever. Individual teacher, parent and student accounts still work exactly as before; a school account simply puts them under one roof.

How do I set up a school account?

Sign up, choose the School option, then complete the short setup wizard: your school name, its ownership type (private, public or government, non-profit, or homeschool family), an optional district name, and the consent checkbox on the last step. The school is created immediately and your 1-month free Pro trial starts at that moment.

Which types of schools can use Meta Typing Club?

Any of them. Private schools, public and government schools, non-profits and NGOs, and homeschool families or co-ops can all create a school account. You choose your ownership type during setup, and it only changes small details such as who is named as the account holder.

How do students log in without an email address?

Teachers can create student accounts that log in with a username instead of an email. From your dashboard, add a student, enter their name, and the system generates login credentials you share with the child. This is ideal for young learners and classrooms where students do not have their own email.

How do I import students from a CSV file?

Open the school dashboard, go to the student import wizard, and upload a CSV of your roster. The wizard maps your column headers, shows a preview of exactly what will be created, flags duplicates and conflicts before anything is saved, and then creates the accounts in one go with printable login cards.

Do teachers see the whole school roster?

A school has five roles: School Owner, School Admin, Staff, Teacher and Student. The Owner controls everything, including deletion and transfer; School Admins manage people, classes and settings; Staff get read-only oversight; Teachers run their own classes; Students practise and complete assignments.

Should I suspend a student or remove them?

Suspend when someone is coming back, remove when they have left for good. Suspension is calendar-based: you set a start and an end date, the account is paused in between, and it reactivates itself automatically on the end date. Removal takes the person out of the school but never deletes their personal typing history.

What happens if I delete my school?

A deleted school goes into an archive for 90 days, and during that window the School Owner can recover it with everything intact. After 90 days it is purged permanently and cannot be restored. Only the School Owner can delete a school, and members' personal accounts are never deleted with it.

Which languages can a school use?

Schools can teach typing in multiple supported international languages: English, Russian, Persian, Pashto, and Dari. Each language has its own complete curriculum, and Persian, Pashto, and Dari use native right-to-left layouts. Teachers pick the language per assignment, so different classes can practice different languages at the same time.

Is a school account safe for children's data?

Yes. A school only ever sees the students in its own school, never another school's. Student accounts created by a school do not require an email address, nothing is sold, and the person who sets the school up accepts the consent terms once and is emailed a copy of exactly what they agreed to.
